When you start a new job your first weeks are super busy because of all the context you need to soak in. New people, new resources, new ways of working. The first results of this are due for publication in a few days, and there will be a news item here.
Meanwhile, I ran a simple LTspice simulation of the unclassical SRAM circuit so you can see the transmission gates do indeed allow a new value to be set even if the feedback loop in the cell is holding the opposite value. It is a very simple circuit using standard elements which function well.
